Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook Buy BEST

The keyboard follows the standard Chrome layout, with a search instead of Caps Lock key and browser and system command keys (such as volume and brightness controls) instead of function keys up top. It's not backlit for typing in dark rooms, but it is full-sized (the A through apostrophe keys span the desktop-regulation 8 inches). Typing feel is flat and firm, with somewhat shallow key travel but good feedback and a commendable lack of flex in the keyboard tray; we were typing swiftly and accurately with only a little practice. The buttonless touchpad glides smoothly and responds crisply to one- and two-finger taps (the equivalent of left and right clicks).

You can still find cheap Chromebooks with 11.6-inch non-touch screens for $199, but the market's moved upscale. Models like the $449 Samsung Chromebook Plus and $499 Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA are 2-in-1 laptop/tablet convertibles with bigger, higher-resolution touch displays in sleek aluminum cases\u2014perks that help the Asus nab our Editors' Choice for consumer chromebooks. The Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook ($279) is plastic, not aluminum, and it has an 11.6-inch display with just 1,366-by-768 rather than 1080p or higher resolution. But it's an IPS touch screen in a flip-and-fold convertible chassis. Straddling the consumer and classroom realms with vigor and value, the Flex almost unseated the Asus Chromebook Flip as our favorite mass-market Chromebook, until it sputtered in one torture test.

"Packing the fun of a tablet with the power punch of a PC, and designed with Android apps in mind, the Flex 11 is a 2-in-1 laptop optimized for entertainment and productivity. Its 360 hinge and 11.6" multi-touch display gives users the flexibility to shift between four dynamic modes (watch, tent, laptop, and tablet) for any combination of work and play activities."

I was seriously considering buying the chromebook 11. Its a sweet little chromebook, but the low end specs held me back. I really hope HP keeps the same design for the next gen, but up the battery, RAM and processor to a intel with alot of balls and I will buy. Its perfect unlike the other bulky ugly chromebooks out there.

Hey there, I realize that this is an old article, but if you somehow get this, I am trying to decide between a Samsung series 3 and the hp chromebook 11, could you let me know which one you prefer? Thanks!

my daughter's high school requires a chromebook. requirements: 10" screen o rlarger, wireless internet connection (802.11n preferred); 6 hours battery life, modern operating system.does this look like a chromebook I should buy? amazon.com/Acer-Chromebook-Celeron-Storage-CB3-132-C4VV/dp/B0795W86N4

When it comes to Chromebooks, does it make sense to keep a keen eye on Google End of Support (Auto update expiration) page, (Maybe even add a column?)Or is the route as lined out by iFixtit at -to-get-updates-on-your-end-of-life-chromebook sufficient? I.e., treating the Chromebook as any other Windows machine when switching to ChromeOS.

I am looking for a chromebook for my son who is in grade 4. He has a chromebook at school and I need one for home as well. He uses a DELL at school, would you recommend a DELL for home too or I have also been looking at the 14 inch touch screen HP chromebook. Would either of these be a good purchase or do you recommend something different? He would be using it for typing and researching, however not gaming of any sort.Thank you 041b061a72
